What exactly is the IELTS band score?

Let’s say that you score 6.1 in the IELTS listening band score. Here, your final score would be rounded off to 6, since it’s closer to it & not 6.5. The evaluation rounds off the scores to the nearest acceptable number.

It should be noted that the reading and listening parts of the exam are graded objectively. You’ll get points for every correctly answered question. Whereas, the grading system for the speaking and writing part of the exam is much more complicated than this.
