Hey everyone, I’m Abhay, and I’m a post graduate from the Cass Business School UK, and I’m here to talk about my experience of studying abroad. Going to the UK to pursue postgraduate study was one of the best decisions of my life. Throughout my time there, I explored and experienced a lot of novel things, cultivating an independent and responsible self. The United Kingdom offers a sophisticated learning culture with a highly developed commercial sector, in addition to being world leaders in management and research. Therefore, I was confident in arriving at the decision of seizing the opportunity to study in a world-renowned UK business school for a masters in management programme. MSc in management from Cass Business School equipped me with the theoretical understanding and practical insight in relation to managerial decision-making. The program helped me build core expertise in areas like strategic management, operations, marketing, and finance. I had the leverage of selecting modules suited to my competencies and strengths, in addition to learning unprecedented concepts. The course also offered a chance to us students to travel to another European country, for two weeks, to gain first-hand experience of working as strategic consultants in an organization. However, I strongly believe that any form of studying abroad is much more than just intellectual learning, it is also a beacon of social, political and cultural experiences. Going abroad and engaging with people from all across the globe is nothing short of an escapade, offering you plethora of opportunities to widen your perceptions, be it language-wise, food-wise, religion- wise, history wise. So ideally, us students should maintain a work life balance, where in any sort of recreational activity is as equally significant as working on an assignment, and could take any form, for instance, visiting a pub or a club, catching a movie, taking a stroll through the city, travelling etc. Thus, living in a different country, not only broadens your horizons career wise, but it also accelerates your personal development. As the world continues to interact and integrate, it is becoming pivotal to possess a rich diverse international outlook. And having attained this outlook, I would like to thank gateway overseas for their guidance and sincere efforts in sending me abroad. Since the beginning, they assisted me in gaining insight into what it is like to study abroad. Based on my personality, skills, and goals, they categorized and presented forth a bracket of most suited universities. They outlined the criterions and the methods of fulfilling the respective criterions. They then oversaw the process of applications, putting me in a much calmer and relaxed state of mind. Hence, I am grateful to gateway overseas, for having presented me with this incredible opportunity.
